Welcome to the Society for Operational Psychology!

What is Operational Psychology? Operational Psychology refers to the application of psychological science to the operational activities conducted in support of national security, national defense, and public safety. These services typically occur through a consultative relationship with an organizational client that enables them to more effectively understand, develop, and/or influence individuals, groups, or organizations to accomplish tactical, operational or strategic objectives.

The Society for Operational Psychology is an organizational space for like-minded individuals interested in the intersection of psychological science and national security, national defense, and public safety. This space is intended for the open exchange of information between practitioners, prospective clients, and other interested parties. We encourage you to explore the site and its repository of resources!
